Fascinating facts you probably didn't know about me

* I once played Terry Serio's mother in a musical.

* I was once invited to have dinner in a flat at the top of the "Number 96" building in Woollahra. (ie. Vera's flat.) On the way out, I couldn't help myself; I mimed racing down the stairs, pretending to pound on the doors of all the other flats to warn, "Bomb in the building! Everybody out! Bomb in the building! Everybody out!"

* the Arncliffe house where I grew up, for my first thirteen years, used to be the family home of stage comedienne Sadie Gale, wife of the infamous Roy "Mo" Rene.

* my paternal grandmother and I once met a real live dragon - and no one else in the family believed us.

* I was once a catwalk model in a 1987 charity fundraiser for the annual "Queen of Bankstown Quest". The first thing people ask if I mention it is, "So, did you win?"

On the way to the Capitol Theatre, in Sydney's CBD, to see "Wicked". This jacaranda tree, in full bloom, created the most bizarre optical illusion against the azure blue sky, but the flowers have photographed much darker than I'd hoped. Still pretty, though. 24 October 2009.

I swear I had nothing to with this. A class of Year 1 kids were making a life-size chalk drawing of a dinosaur on the playground today - and were asked to show what he'd eaten. Amongst the pterodactyls and smaller dinosaurs was this... Andorian. 29 October 2009.
